PISGAH HIGHLANDS

Our Story

This story starts out a little different.  Pisgah Highlands was going to be a high end mountain top housing development with 16 home sites in 2008.  In 2015, the developer decided to sell the whole project.  We fell in love with the land because it's so close to so many hiking trails in Pisgah National Forest and easily accessible to Asheville.
We have been slowly building off grid cabins as we dream them up.  It's been so much fun to be able to create these amazing experiences for our Airbnb guests to enjoy.
The 125 acres of land has been put into a sustainable Forestry Management Plan with the non profit, Eco Foresters.  We are excited about our future plans:  designing trails, an outdoor gym, camp sites, a bathhouse...and whatever else we dream up!

The brains
Haley grew up in Asheville, NC.  She studied art in college at Pacific Union College and then decided to follow in her fathers foot steps and become a dentist.  She practices full time in Asheville in her childhood home she grew up in.  Her family all live in the area.  If you ask any of her friends, they will say that Airbnb is her favorite hobby. She loves dreaming up fun cabin ideas and seeing them come to fruition.  She also enjoys running, biking, hiking, internet-ing (is that a sport?) and music.
The brawn
Jason grew up in Arkansas.  He has a sweet son and two lovely dogs.  He's really into jujitsu, hunting, running, biking, rock climbing and hiking.  He maintains the roads, builds things, and manages any of the maintenance issues with the off grid layouts.  He owns Pinnacle Sales Agency, which is a manufacturers rep agency that represents manufacturers of safety equipment.

The dogs
Deuce is our 15 yr old German Shorthaired Pointer who tends to enjoy laying in the sun, and relaxing.  Ruger is our newest addition to our family and he enjoys biting, chewing your things, chasing things, eating your socks, carrying sticks around and eating.
WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS AND OUR GUESTS FOR MANY OF THE PHOTOS LISTED ON OUR SITE.  If you would like a photographer to take photos during your stay, here are a few of our favorites!
